“I dreamed of a film in which the power of words would resonate with the beauty of the world. The movie relates the voices of all those, men and women, who entrusted me with their stories. And it becomes their messenger,” said director Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
In conjunction with this festive season and new year (I can feel 2016’s creeping up!) I’d like to share this very, very meaningful documentary by Mr Yann titled “Human.”
Human is a 3-volume movie about love, life and real personal stories collected from more than 2,000 men and women from 60 countries in the course of 3 years. It is a very moving film that has made me giggled, and my eyes teary at various points. Accompanying the stories are some very exotic and cinematic sceneries that take you on a tour around the world.
A murderer was taught about “love” by his victims’ mother and grandmother. (He killed a mother and her son.) A woman was stabbed by her ex-husband because she wanted to divorce. So much more stories.
Let’s take a moment to count our blessings during this festive season. Merry Christmas. :)
